CanteenA Canteen service is available at both the Upper and Lower Campus. This service is outsourced to Timorese members of the community. Snacks and drinks are available at Morning Tea and a cooked meal and drinks are available at lunch, Monday - Friday. Morning Tea and Lunch is available through an ordering system. Dili International School supports the provision of healthy and nutritious choices and practices as outlined in the Australian Guide to Healthy Eating. This guide is consistent with the Dietary Guidelines for Australians (1991) the Dietary Guidelines for Children and Adolescents (1995) and the Dietary Guidelines for Older Australians (1999). These guidelines were developed to inform the general public about healthy food choices. The guidelines focus on a healthy lifestyle rather than specific nutrients and aim to reduce the risk of diet related diseases. The current DIS Canteen Menu is sent home at the beginning of each term, is located on school notice boards and is available by request from either office. Friday Lunch utilizes the Dili Club Menu. Students are not permitted to purchase or bring soft drinks to school. |
